Not easy. I shot lakes in the Sierra Nevada Mountains for 3 years. So I have over 300 “selections” need to bring it down to under 100. Less images have more impact. I hiked up my camera, underwater housing and wetsuit to these places. I became addicted to them. Still am.

Tom Gilmore has been collecting my work and hiring me for ten years. He has bought art and hired me to shoot commercial jobs. He recently bought the first of the FOTOTRANSLUCENTS. A big 4 by 6 foot piece for the lobby of Downtown Properties in Downtown Los Angeles.

Huge 12 by 144 inches long panoramic print of the Santa Monica bay from my Panoramica Angelica Series. I did a trade with Jimmy Kimmel. He had purchased a couple of prints in the past from my Portrait Los Angeles Series, so I approached him for a trade. He got this print for his parents living room and in exchange, he wrote an foreword for my upcoming book about downtown.

Working on my book about shooting downtown Los Angeles for ten years when it was empty. Its going to combine photos and stories from that time.I have so many images and memories to go through. I want the book to be a combination between a true account of an artists life and a love poem to downtown LA.

Got to go home for a few months. I love shooting in Chile. This lake is about 2 hours away from Santiago, at the end of a windy desolate dirt road.

JIMMY KIMMEL GREEN ROOM HAS MY ART
Jimmy Kimmel purchased some of my work from the Portrait Los Angeles series for his home. These prints are on loan to the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show, hanging in their Green Room, where celebs go to hang out and have private rooms to get ready for the show. He liked the work enough to have his producer call me because they wanted to use my images as “bumpers” to cut in and out of commercials.

These two guys risked a felony conviction to steal my art from the Rowan Building in Downtown. Awesome. The building has (had) a collection of 20 plus images from my series Portrait Los Angeles and Two Days. These images are from the building’s security cameras.
