SIERRA NEVADA LAKES
I have been obsessed with photographing the lakes in The Sierras. My friend Pat built a special housing, a “bubble” that allows me to get the over under shots I’ve been working on. We carry 50lbs backpacks with inflatable SUP’s and all our camping gear, food plus photo gear and wetsuit into the back country. Pat likes to fish of the back of his SUP. I spend all my time in the water photographing. The SUP’s are a great tool, I can survey the whole lake from above and look for special features to go back and photograph.
DONT SLEEP MUCH
When I am working on a project, the best ideas seem to come at night.
CALIFORNIA DESERT SKY
I’ve been working on a project about the sky. Spending time in Joshua Tree National Park.
LUXE MAGAZINE
Luxe featured a house that had my Downtown in Red print in their living room.
ANGELENO MAGAZINE
My work is featured on a story about a designer Summer Jensen form hawkandco.com. She has purchased several large pieces from my Portrait Los Angeles series, Including a collection of 17 images for The Rowan Building in Downtown.
SHOOTING IN DTOWN
I asked my friend Aurelia D’Amore to come along last time I went to shoot some buildings in Dtown LA. She brought her camera and gave me a beautiful collection of images. A great record of my time there. I had been photographing Dtown for over 10 years and these are the first pictures I have of me shooting the place. It was a special time in my life.
MAKING DARK DISNEY
The prints for this project are all conventional black and white prints. I printed the negs through celophane and then painted and toned the prints. The whole process took about a week.

ROWAN BUILDING IN DOWNTOWN BUYS MY ART
The Rowan Building in Downton LA has purchased over 30 images from Portrait Los Angeles for their elevator lobby’s and their lounges. They are also using some of the images and telling my story on their website.
