I have been obsessed with photographing the lakes in The Sierras. My friend Pat built a special housing, a “bubble” that allows me to get the over under shots I’ve been working on. We carry 50lbs backpacks with inflatable SUP’s and all our camping gear, food plus photo gear and wetsuit into the back country. Pat likes to fish of the back of his SUP. I spend all my time in the water photographing. The SUP’s are a great tool, I can survey the whole lake from above and look for special features to go back and photograph.
